We are starting something new!

After the response to our Christmas Big Band show — and the joy of being able to donate the proceeds to charity — we knew we wanted to keep this going.

So we’re launching LayLow Charity Big Band directed by James Brady: a new regular series bringing together some of the finest jazz musicians on the Glasgow scene to play big-band music for a good cause. Every few months, we’ll host a night where ticket income (after covering the basics) is donated to a chosen charity.

Our next show takes place on March 17, and we’re delighted to be once again supporting Hear My Music, a Glasgow-based charity creating inclusive music opportunities for young people with complex needs.

Big band music, a room full of people, and a chance to give something back — it felt right to turn this into a regular thing.
