World of Twist’s vinyl dance party is back at The Rum Shack, Southside, for a night of global groove heaters and shoulder shakers to ease you into 2026. Beat the winter blues with some rare groove tunes as we spin records all night long! Expect both old and new rare groove rhythms and melodies from across the globe, featuring exotic textures and hypnotic percussion to get those feet moving and shoulders shaking. We'll be digging out all the feel good numbers from far and wide, taking you on a journey through the motions of Middle Eastern, North African, and South Asian groove and psychedelia, to Bollywood, African Highlife, Brazilian Tropicalia, Colombian Cumbia, disco, into high-energy sounds of the club underground. Warming up the dancefloor for How Bizarre and Jamo, is Andalusian selector, Elisa, host of the Al-Andalû Ôttlain radio show on Radio Buena Vida. For this session, Elisa will be sharing the most Andalusí part of their archive: traditional sounds transformed into hybrid genres, with a good sense of humour! We’d love to see you there!
