Daydream Nation is the first a series of screenings and events, launching dept.con.temp's new community cinema project. 

Please join us at The Rum Shack on 13th May 2024 for Daydream Nation, a special event with a screening of short animated films from local and international artists, a special audio visual performance by Karolina Glusiec & Southside Somnambulant Society, tunes across the evening from Si B, and featured artwork from Jamie Temple.

Come along, have a drink, listen to some music, watch some brilliant films and live performances, and pick up some special merch!!

Daydream Nation is a celebration of short DIY filmmaking, which in many ways carries the qualities and ethos of grunge. If this kind of filmmaking was a music genre then we would call it “visual grunge” !

The line up of films is made up of people that we come to know and love, and will include new and old works by:
